Storytelling Workshop with Debra Magpie Earling

We know you do!  Whether it's inspired by a book, the bookstore or just the crazy life you've lived, Chapter One wants to hear your story.  Celebrate 50 years of books and stories in the Bitterroot by sharing your story with us.

Chapter One, Hamilton Players and the Ravalli County Museum are hosting a storytelling workshop taught by novelist, Debra Magpie Earling Thursday April 25th from 6-8:30pm at the museum.  The workshop will be followed by an optional storytelling hour at the bookstore on Saturday April 27th from 5-6pm.  Register for one or both using the form below.

Debra Magpie Earling is the author of The Lost Journals of Sacajewea and Perma Red. She has received a National Endowment for the Arts grant, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Montana Book Award.  Her first novel, Perma Red,was recently listed as a Great American Novel by The Atlantic. She recently retired from the University of Montana where she taught creative writing and storytelling and was named professor emeritus in 2021. She is Bitterroot Salish.
